There are media reports that within the next two decades, 47 per cent of all the current jobs will be replaced by technology. This corresponds to the evolution of the past three decades where the digital revolution has already replaced many mid-level skilled jobs, such as typists, ticketing staff, bank tellers, highway toll collectors and production line workers etc.
Times are changing. We cannot live with a self feeling good fantasy world which shies away from taking responsibility by simply blaming any minor unhappiness on the government or making demands on the corporate world. If the words “Reflection” or “devotion” never appear in one’s personal dictionary then we will live a life of unspeakable disaster.
